Getting Paid & Staying Paid

I’m trying to come up with ways for veryserious.org to pay for itself. I don’t mind the bill, but it’s like solving a puzzle, I want to figure out how it’s done. If you have any suggestions please put them in comments.

I changed the ads on the left from google to amazon because those ads were boring but Amazon seems to think readers of veryserious.org want to buy Susan Boyle CD’s. The fuck?!

I want to make it so it’s only ads for big ticket items so that when people buy their flat screen or mortgage after clicking the link I will get a large amount.

What I want to know is what is the Puerto Rican attitude? I think it is 10º x 45º x 90º except in the case of Puerto Rican Day in which case the yaw is probably the same but the pitch and roll is probably more aggressive.

I forgot to mention: the ads are “smart ads” otherwise known as “Omokase” so they should get better over time.

I tried to make the ads as unobtrusive as possible but I think they need to be a bit more obtrusive. As it is you don’t see ads until conversations get about 10 posts deep.

You can search for whatever you want now with the search bar also.

@phil yes, I think you could make them a little more obvious and still have it not be tacky or annoying.
