Disney Buys Marvel

Mickey_PunisherWalt Disney Co. just bought Marvel Entertainment for $4 billion, gaining the rights over such characters as Blade, the Fantastic Four, Hulk, Iron Man, the Punisher, Spider-Man and the X-Men.

Here’s a lame bit from MTV.com that riffs on the marriage of these two universes.

R.I.P. Ted Kennedy

Ted_KennedyTed Kennedy– surviving brother of John & Robert Kennedy and the “Liberal Lion” of the U.S. Senate– died of brain cancer last night, after serving in the U.S. Senate for almost five decades.

He maybe sorta killed a lady in 1969 and unsuccessfully ran for President in 1980. His death represents the loss of a major political player in favor of progressive health care reform, but it could also give the cause a lot of “doin’ it for our dead homie” energy.
