Walt Disney Co. just bought Marvel Entertainment for $4 billion, gaining the rights over such characters as Blade, the Fantastic Four, Hulk, Iron Man, the Punisher, Spider-Man and the X-Men.

(1)R.I.P. Ted Kennedy
Ted Kennedy– surviving brother of John & Robert Kennedy and the “Liberal Lion” of the U.S. Senate– died of brain cancer last night, after serving in the U.S. Senate for almost five decades.
He maybe sorta killed a lady in 1969 and unsuccessfully ran for President in 1980. His death represents the loss of a major political player in favor of progressive health care reform, but it could also give the cause a lot of “doin’ it for our dead homie” energy.

Yesterday, Scotland Yard released details– including video footage– of a jewelry heist that occurred last Thursday in London. It turns out to be the biggest jewelry heist in U.K. history, with forty-three items totaling ~$65 million. (more…)
