All five things were directly related to http://thisoneisonus.org and Nine Inch Nails.
I grabbed the music from the Vegas show and then from other shows combined into a Vegas CD and an Other CD (entitled Another Version of the Truth: the Gift Mastered Audio) and then several of the fan-created full show videos (also entitled Another Version of the Truth: the Gift). I got I think the HD computer version, DVD version and maybe one for the iPod. I also downloaded The Downward Sprial live and in full from the New York Webster Hall show.

My last 5 from oldest to newest are:
5. Jersey Shore S01E08
I am pretty sure this is the “1 punch kid” episode. Stoked on it. GTL dude.
4. NFL NFC Championship game
I d/l ed this but then heard so much about the game from everyone including my wife that, when the audio was tracking wrong, I just figured ‘whats the use’ and deleted it.
3. HBO Boxing After Dark from 1-23
Haven’t watched it yet but it features 2 fights:
Juan Manuel Lopez (27-0-0) vs Steven Luevano (37-1-1)
~ WBO Featherweight Title ~
Yuriorkis Gamboa (16-0-0) vs Rogers Mtagwa (26-13-2)
~ WBA World Featherweight Title ~
It is the Gamboa/Mtagwa fight that I am excited about. Lets see if the Cuban can step up in class. He was a great amateur and I have seen a few of his more lopsided wins.
2. Poonsawat Kratingdaenggym vs Satoshi Hosono in Japan
I watched this. The audio is in Thai which is actually kind of cool. This was a great back and forth fight. Poonsawat is a /Beast/.
1. Masahiko “Fighting” Harada vs Pone Kingpetch” I & II
two early 60s bouts featuring the great Fighting Harada. I haven’t watched this yet but I am excited. You can read about these bouts here http://www.worldboxingvideoarchive.com/forums.php?action=viewtopic&topicid=15692 I think (not sure if you can see it without a login though).
Bonus: 1.01 overall but 4.8 on worldboxingvideoarchive.com which is my main jam
As for sausage, I have become a big fan of the bockwurst with some senf and a piece of brot. Bratwurst when grilled over charcoal rather than fried is pretty good too. I also enjoy sausage patties but not the sage kind that Phil likes.

Oh and my favorite sausage is this turkey/garlic/herb one they USED TO carry at TJs and OF COURSE, like everything I fall in love with at TJs, they stopped carrying it. Boo.

Newest episode of Friday Night Lights
1 Jawbreaker Unfun album (very ok since I have purchase at least 4 new copies of it in my life)
some Shellac songs
some Slint songs
NFL Playoff game between Cardinals and Packers
I would say my ratio is 1 to 1
I will hold off on sausage takes until after I go to the new sausage grill that opened down the street.

1) Dexter season 4 – Never downloaded shows or movies online, but season 4 isn’t on Netflix or Itunes or Amazon and just ended so will be coming out in like August. I got into it and finished season 3, and had to get more. I’m very happy I downloaded it because I hooked it up to my 46″ and it looks perfect, so no streaming through a browser.
2) Timbaland’s new album Shock Value 2. Still getting used to it. Shock Value 1 really did shock me though…in a good way.
3) Ke$ha’s new album – let’s not ask why. Just wanted to see what the hype was all about and trust me, it’s nothing. She is what Taylor Swift would be if it wasn’t for religion.
4) Thinking of downloading the Adam Lambert cd. Don’t really care for him, but I already have 200gb of music…this can’t really hurt.
Also I hate when TJ stops carrying my favorite things!

2 were collections of karaoke videos, the ones that have the cartoon bee and no video.
1 was a CDG to AVI converter so I can play the karaoke files.
2 more were episodes of Avatar: that Last Airbender. This is not the James Cameron movie, it’s a Nickelodeon cartoon. I got into season 1 by watching it on Netflix’s watch now but I didn’t want to wait for the CD’s to get to me in the mail. The price I pay is having to see a big network logo that spins in the corner.
I’ve only watched one which was the first episode of season 2 in which Zukko and Uncle Iroh cut off their topknots and threw them in the river.
Beth and I have been obsessed with the show and after watching this one we’re disenchanted with the way Earth Nation people act, to the point that I almost hope they lose the war. At least Fire Nation doesn’t try to front like they want peace.
I have a new computer so all my old ratios are gone. On my new computer it’s something like 1.4.

@ Phil:
Don’t worry: Earth nation will learn their lesson. It’s just like the way the movies show the U.S. in political films. We show up, all indignant and wronged then *finally* learn our lesson that *of course* they didn’t like us, we came to take their oil/sugar/women/cheese/wood/money, and they were just doing what they could to defend themselves when they set off a bomb in that school/police station/army base/toilet/commercial office building.
…SWOOP! how’s that for taking an innocent story and making a statement with it?
I downloaded four episodes of Mad Men, season 3 for the same reasons MissBella downloaded Dexter. That was the first time I’ve done it and I’m conflicted. I justified it by telling myself that I would have ordered them on Netflix, anyway, but to tell the truth, I’m not sure they’ll get any money from Netflix. I did start to watch and then realized that I’d missed the final episode of the second season “Meditations in an Emergency,” so I bought and streamed it from Amazon for two bucks. They got some money like that…
I’m tempted, after that process, to download more episodes of Breaking Bad, which I’ve been enjoying, but figure I’ll wait for snail mail to make it happen.
I like a good pork sausage, as long as it’s not too fucked with and is still savory (keep your apples out of the sausage – cook them and stick them next to it, if you want, but not in it).

Do files that were torrented by someone else and then transferred onto my computer by USB count? If so, then I think the answer is:
- An episode of “Justice League Unlimited” cartoon
Haven’t watched it yet, I think it’s the one where the JLU are made up to be like The Defenders.
- Flex Mentallo limited series (comic)
Haven’t read it on my computer yet, but I bought the original floppies when they came out in the 90s.
- Planetary series (comic)
Hey, at least I bought a hard copy of the final issue. Also, I’m going to make up for it by paying for Y the Last Man in trades.
- Annihilation & Annihilation: Conquest (comics)
Reading these made me into a monthly buyer of Nova, Guardians of the Galaxy and whatever the current “cosmic” Marvel event is (right now it’s Realm of Kings, which adds The Inhumans and Imperial Guard limited series to my monthly stack).
- Thunderbolts #128
I was on-board with this series briefly, missed this issue and was unable to find it in hard copy anywhere.
I don’t really understand the ratio thing. Is it “pirated”-to-purchased? If so, my ratio’s like 1:100 for movies/music, and maybe 1:20 for comics.
I really like the veggie sausage patties served by Pork Store in SF. Not sure what brand they are.

- Moon blu-ray rip
- Full patch for Forgotten Hope 2 2.25, a nice BF2 mod that I like to play
- Windows 7 Ultimate
My ratio is weak, like .80
Bonus: The new Rosamunde on mission lays WASTE to Gestalt. It is AWESOME.

Even though I torrent stuff I want to answer the sausage question. Joe where do you get off with this idea that I love sagey sausage? It’s okay, for cowboys. I don’t like kielbasa. The only sausage I eat is the chicken sausage at Pork Store so I guess that. Wait, Nick gave me half of a giant salami for Christmas and I would fry that up in a pan. Does salami count as sausage?
If I think for even one second about what goes into sausage it ruins it for me. I think the same goes even for vegetarian sausage.

the only two things I can think of are:
1. Avatar: The Last Airbender
2. District 9 (without subtitles – which made it a bitch to follow the storyline/understand what was going on.)
Also, I think I watched an episode of Lost, which was torrented, about five years ago at a friend’s house

Jake, ratio is how much you take in vs how much you share out. If you download 1gb and share back 1gb then your ratio is 1. If you always take but never give, then your ratio is lower.
It’s like here on veryserious how there is a sizable contingent of people who are on it every day but never comment or make their presence known, they have a low ratio. Another example would be people who leave public bathrooms in a worse state than how they found them.

I hate when people leave public bathrooms nasty!
you can’t compare a file you torrent to something like a toilet bowl! You don’t pass on what you USE. You share the same thing you downloaded from someone else and you don’t modify it, so therefore the toilet bowl stays clean because you haven’t pissed in it yet.
Get it?

Final Cut Pro, which I was sure was not going to work, but does, and rules…..and the last 4 days of Howard. That’s my last five bit torrents. I tried to DL Final Draft 8, and that didn’t work.
Bonus: I don’t know what my ratio is, as in I don’t know what that question is asking.
E.S. Bonus: Final Cut Pro is film editing software, and Howard is Howard Stern’s Sirius radio broadcast and wrap up show. Final Draft is screen play writing software.
My fav sausage is polish kielbasa.

Hmm, I just checked out that link Phil. It seems interesting but it scares me a little bit. I didn’t see any assurance of complete privacy. What would stop the people who are behind the scenes at that site to go in and steal really good ideas? Is that paranoid to think?

phil
// Jan 28, 2010 at 9:56 am
It could happen I guess. Really the same thing could happen with gmail though. You should change the names of all the characters so they sound so dumb that no one would ever think of stealing it. For example change the main character’s name to “Gerald Mustardman”.

I just looked up one of the creators of avatar: the last airbender on facebook to ask for his paypal account so I can pay him some $ for seasons 2+3. I’ll let you know if I get sued.
You must log in to comment. I tried it the other way and had to erase 1,000 ads for viagra and mortgages one by one. Register here, it takes less than ten seconds.
