Since I just came back from the land of cold and snow (the area of Wyoming I’m from has been known to get snow from September to April regularly), I thought I’d review my thoughts on snow. Snow isn’t a familiar concept anymore, I’ve lived in LA for almost 5 years now and most December vacations were spent with at the Grandparents where snow isn’t so common. My Mom slipped on some ice after a snow storm and broke part of her hip so instead of Grandparents, I changed plans and ventured into Wyoming to help out as I could. The picture on the left is from December 28th and I got the pleasure of relearning to shovel snow off the porch and driveway that day. There are two types of snow I’m accustom to: the high-altitude snow of Wyoming (where it can get really cold, windy and nasty) and the humid, suck-into-your-clothes so you’re never dry snow of St. Louis. I’d take the Wyoming snow over the St. Louis snow. I’m sure there’s more types but I’m not a snow type expert.
I thought the easiest way for me to review snow would be a pro/con list and then decide where snow lays on the awesome scale of 5 stars.
Pros:
1. Snow gives us water when it melts.
2. It is fun to sled in.
3. It is usually pretty neat when it’s falling, either so it looks like you’re going warp speed in space or just gently.
4. It gives us a good reason to stay in and not have to go out in it.
Cons:
1. It causes ice if not properly cleared. There are two types of ice, the clear/white and the black. Black ice I think is the worse because you can’t see it and once you’ve been in a car sliding off the road it in, it’s definitely worse.
2. It’s cold. Although sometimes in Wyoming it’s warmer when it’s snowing than when it’s not.
3. It requires one to shovel the driveway, porch and sidewalk. And usually to wipe all the snow off your car as well. Also, scraping ice off the car windows is the worse.
4. It can really muck up travel plans for a huge number of people.
Overall, I’m neutral on snow. Wyoming snow gets a big +20 over St. Louis snow though, but I can’t really hate as both provide us with much needed water. So snow, congratulations on getting a

and stop taking down my family and maybe I’ll give you a better review next time around. PS: I see Phil reviewed snow last year but I have pictures and some different points. I suppose I should have searched before I posted, however we both had different points.
