My first car was a 10 year old Oldsmobile Detla 88. The king of the land yachts.

I now have a Scion xA. I don’t really have a dream car. I would like something a little bigger (maybe the Matrix?) but I’m satisfied with my car.

My first car was a nissan sentra that I crashed out. I don’t drive a car now because I don’t need to and crashing the sentra out made me lose my enthusiasm for driving. My dream car would be a Lincoln Continental with Gucci white leather interior, steering wheel & gear shift and Carolina blue candy paint on the outside. I haven’t made up my mind about the rims, I would just flip through a recent issue of a trade periodical like Rims Monthly and pick out whichever ones looked best.

My car would look something like an Argentinian flag but without the sun. Actually the rims could be gold and it would look just like their flag. Also the car would be able to fly.

I just learned to drive like 4 years ago (maybe less) so I am still driving my first car. My sister gave it to me for free. It’s a stupid 2003 Ford Focus. I’ve paid around $1,600 fixing the transmission over the past 2 years. It always sounds like their is a grumpy monster inside of it, and I’ve had friends state that they fear for my life when I drive my car.

My dream car would be a safe car that won’t kill me. I would like a Prius, a BMW or an Audi.

1st car: 1967 Ford Mustang Coupe. My mom’s boyfriend won it for me in a poker game. It had holes in the floor and never ever went in reverse. I also had to start it by shorting the solenoid, commonly known as hot-wiring. Also, the accelerator liked to stick. Man, life was exciting at age 16.

Dream car: A completely stock, garaged 1974 Monte Carlo, just like the one I ruined after I sold my Mustang.

My first car was a 1989 Honda Accord LXI, named Disco Dottie. I do not own a car now – but I am a member of City Car Share. My dream car is something that is small enough for city parking, but big enough to stow enough groceries for a party and enough gear for a camping trip. Also – I want good mileage – so I guess what I want is a Prius? Not really sure though…they have terrible blind spots, IMO.

A late 80′s blue Ford Escort Wagon was my first car and she was named Blueberry. My favorite memory of her was standing up discarded christmas trees and blasting them off the map on country roads. I don’t drive a car now, but i do drive a beautiful bike that i just love. My dream car is a Nissan factory rebuilt 1972 datsun 240z.

My first and only car so far (hey, I live in SF…no need to really drive!) is a 2009 Mazda 3. It sleeps outside, and is cold. I love it though, and I named it Inga. She is also leased. I coudn’t justify spending 10k on a used Civic and then fixing it up for another 5k in months. Leasing, driving, an returning = cheaper, and less hassle cause you don’t have to kill yourself over getting rid of it later on.

My dream car is a Nissan 350Z, not to be confused with the 370Z which I think is ugly.

I also want to go on a track someday. My boyfriend put a turbo in his car and autocrosses and tracks it a lot. I’m an aggressive driver mostly because of him, that can be a problem especially when being in my part of town…the Richmond area…with pedestrians walking everywhichway.

My first car was a 1982 Honda Civic. I drove it a lot I think it stopped at about 200,000 miles. It was a hand me down from my grandmother right before she dies so I always feel a little guilty about how I thashed it.

My current car is a 2008 BMW 328i. Up until a couple of weeks ago I loved it. I would take it to the car wash every weekend and make it nice and clean. Then I smashed my bumper pulling into my garage. I haven’t had time to get it repaired yet so it has a huge embarassing dent in the bumper so I am not so pleased with it right now.

My dream car would be the BMW M series wagon. They go really fast and have enough room that I could put my bike in the back easily.

Wait, Jon, you drive a BWM?

My first car was a 1965 Plymouth Valiant Signet convertible. Her name was Roxanne because it was the first song to come on the radio on my first drive of her. She was amazing because she taught me a lot about engines (hers was a 273 Commando small block V-8… one of the first Mopar engines) and a lot about patience and safety during break-downs. She currently resides at the farthest end of my parents driveway in Stockton. I have delusions of grandeur that I will get a job and fix her up and bring her to the City.
Currently, my ride is Bufa the Super Scoot. He is a 2009 Genuine Buddy Italia. We love each other. He is very efficient to run (78-90 mpg) and is really easy for parking.

Dream car. First one was a Dodge Viper RT/10, but that switched to a Dodge Viper GTS Venom later… and that switched to an Audi TT, and then to a TVR Tuscan… but having had the luck of owning a quattro TT, I would probably love to have that again. Especially good because TVR is not a recognized manufacturer by the US govt so you can only bring them in for months at a time. =(

Of course Jon drives a BMW. Although I’m not really a fan of the new 3-series after driving it, as I didn’t like the throttle lag and it’s too big for a city car. I bet the new 1-series is fun tho.

My first car was a 1981 Chevy Silverado pickup. I blew up the motor on the freeway when the water pump broke, and my dad had to put a new one in it. It was probably a good first car for a teenager since it was nearly indestructible from a collision point-of-view.

Right now I drive a 2007 Nissan Frontier NISMO 4×4. Ask me how many times I have used the 4×4 and locking rear differential. Because, you know, a mountain or something might pop up in the middle of SF. I got that particular one because I liked the interior color, which you can’t see right now as it’s covered in empty coffee cups. I have a pickup because I have to haul motorcycle stuffs around, but if I didn’t have that requirement I am a total sucker for German sport wagons and sedans. Current dream car would be an Audi S4 avant, or maybe a 4-door M3. Also I really like the Volvo C50 wagons, those are nice.

my first car was a ’67 plymouth belvedere wagon. it had a push button automatic transmission and seats in the back to fit 10 comfortably. i purchased it for $50 and only drove it once as my knowledge of mechanics and lack of money kept me from replacing the alternator and filling the tank with gas.

currently, my car … uh, doesn’t exist.

    dream car? probably not.

My first car was exactly like Jon’s Honda Accord, except it was a 1981 and an automatic. I loved that car. It was a bit underpowered, but the wheelbase made it handle really well. Super fun to drive.

My present car is a motorcycle, a Suzuki SV650-N. I ride it to work most everyday, except for when it’s raining. My dear sweetheart Tarbot has a 2002 Honda Civic that I get to drive every so often.

Cars frustrate me, so I am not sure I have a dream car these days. If I were to ignore fuel economy, which is pretty important to me, then I would want a car with tire smoking raw power, but also good handling (unlike 70s muscle cars). Rear wheel drives are super fun.

My first car was the same as Pete’s first car. I loved that car! I found it to be awesomely good looking and it did everything I wanted it to do. I would happily drive it today if I could.

My dream car is kind of hippy, sorry, but I would like a toyota 4×4 van pimped out to be the ultimate campermobile, with pop-up sleeping area, captain seats, a big screen dvd player thingy, and a mini office/recording studio. It will have good rad grills and fog lights and whatnot, and it will somehow achieve really good mileage. Why doesn’t anybody make this vehicle anymore? In europe I guess maybe.

Right now I’m pretty close. I have a toyota tacoma that is 2x, but with a lift so it gets good mileage and can go places regular cars can’t. It’s all camped out but the only thing it lacks is a comfy area to relax in sitting upright when it rains and is cold that is not the front seat. I love my truck.

’81 Honda. Black. It didn’t look too bad, just a couple scratches and such but by the time I was done with it, it was really banged up. Once I was mad at my dad for parking behind the driveway so I couldn’t get out that I backed out anyways, scratching the side of his car and going over the neighbors bushes that divide the properties. I didn’t give a fuck when I was a teen. Then I got rear ended.
    I drive a 2006 Honda Camry. It’s ok.
I don’t know if I have a dream car. I’ve been in way too many car accidents to justify buying a brand new car. I don’t even like driving all that much. If I had any super hero power, I’d like to teleport. No traffic ever, or dealing with other people on the road.

My first car was a turquoise 1972 Toyota Corolla hatchback that I got for $200. The former owner got rear ended in a car accident so there was no back window and the whole back trunk was bashed in. I loved that car.

My car now is a 2004 Toyota 4-Runner. It’s ok.

Dream car. Hrmmm…. My dream car is a BMW 5 series wagon. Second runner up is a Passat wagon.

My first car was a Sentra, I think. From the 80s, maybe. I don’t know. The previous owner called it the “Jap Cadillac”. It lasted about a week. You could use its key to open and drive any car of the same make & model.

My dream car is anything with the motherfucking driver’s seat sitting in the middle.

my first car was a ’95 Ford Thunderbird V8 that i lovingly referred to as Carmine. i drove the shit out of that thing and ended up donating it to poor kids or something after the heating core kept busting and leaking coolant into the vents.

my dream car is a ’67 Ford Mustang fastback, just like the one Steve McQueen rallies in Bullitt. that or my dad’s ’65 Galaxie. or his ’57 Thunderbird with the porthole windows. he’s a retired Ford mechanic and he restores cars just for shits and giggles. he always has the coolest rides and i’m always jealous because he won’t let me drive them. jerk.
