green screening is one of my favorite things, and in this video, Faith No More does it better than anyone ever (on a budget). And the song is pretty amazing too. YouTube Preview Image

You know who did a weak green screen? Roland Emmerich in 2012. Most of the movie had really good special effects but in one particular scene some people are driving in a pickup truck in some mountains and it’s the fakest green screen shot I’ve seen in years.

Greg why do they use green screens instead of blue? I know google could tell me but I bet you could too.

well, you can use any color as a chroma key to be removed later, blue or green are just popular and either is based on the subject (a person or object) and what may be added later (if you are doing outdoor scenes with blue sky, you dont want to use a color that is blue because it would be hard to discern which you want removed). key just refers to something that will be removed or made transparent.

emmerich did a great job in independence day. very believable. i have no want whatsoever to see 2012. the effects looked shitty in trailers.

It was dumb but fun. The effects were good but silly, better than day after tomorrow when a tentacle of “coldness” was menacing people.
