Do you have a regular happy hour spot?
If so: Where? When? What’s it like?
If not: What do you do instead?

On New Year’s Eve 2003, my friend Zach wrote a brilliant song called, “If I were Tobey Maguire for a Day,” in which he contemplated the places he would go, the women he would woo, the food he would eat, and the overall wonderful day he would have. But in the end, he just decided to “fuck a horse.”
What would you do if you were Tobey Maguire for a day?
*If you’re unsure, you should review Tobey’s Wikipedia page, and note that Mr. Maguire earned $17 Million in 2004 for Spiderman 2 alone.

I have a few different happy hour places that I go…. On a Friday I will usually meet up with friends at the Hemlock in SF. On weekdays I keep it close to home with cheap beers at Lucky13. My HH places are usually a bit more rowdy at night, so I like to patronize them before the sun goes down.
When the sun goes down, I’m usually at the Lone Palm.

Not really. Not in ukiah anyways. I used to check out el sombrero here every friday afternoon in the summer for their happy hour, but have since just kind of lost interest

I never go to a happy hour. It’s the last thing on my mind after work on Friday. Instead I work and then go home, maybe go out later.

I tend to miss Happy Hour. Sorry if this sounds passive-agressive, friends, but I grew up with the idea that Happy Hour is from about 4:30-6:30 like something you go to immediately after you get off work, before dinner, etc. Most times I’ve gone to HH, I get there like an hour before anyone else and it sucks. Then my bros starting showing up at 6:30-7-7:30 and I am ready to do something else.

typically, i am not off work until the happy hour has passed pass the mildly content hour to the bummer dude hour. then i go to (in santa cruz, ca):
1) the red room
2) the rush inn
3) bowling alley (for karaoke)
i think the last time i went to happy hour was at the gold club in SF during a conference three years ago. i DO NOT suggest the calamari.

I don’t really do happy hours. I usually can be found doing one of two things after work:
The gym. Or dinner and concert/movie/shopping.
I sometimes will have a beer when I get home or at whatever place I may be. But I’ve never been to a real happy hour. I also have an aversion to going places in my work clothes. Cause I don’t want to possibly have anything ruin my ‘good’ clothes.

Hell yes! I love happy hour. My main happy hour place is also the bar that I go to most in my neighborhood, it’s called Royale and has the best burgers ever.

I also go to the Life Cafe sometimes. It’s famous for being the restaurant that the people from the musical Rent lived above or something.

I don’t do Happy Hour in my normal clark kent life…but the last time I was in DC I checked out McCormick & Schmick’s HH. It was good – and there is one in downtown Sac which I might check out if my Naida could get a day off.
