  Hanelei beach in Hawaii, because there are big sea turtles that come up to you and mess with you.

  Makua Beach, also known as “Tunnels”, in Kauai. While I was there, I dubbed it “Science Beach” because there were so many interesting, natural things you could study (i.e. vortices, currents, fish and rocks while snorkeling, etc,etc) total paradise!

  whatever the name of the beach we stayed at on the falas was named. that one was hellsa tight.

  this is truly a difficult question. as a nesomaniac (someone who is obsessed with islands), loving beaches kind of comes with the territory.

  so, of the beaches i’ve been to, here are my faves.
  here goes:

  gump research station, baie de cook, tahiti, polynesie francaise, because i lived there

  the beach at the surf break in tikehau, tahiti because it was the most magical place i’ve ever been.

  big flat on the lost coast in northern california is my favorite place on earth so far, but im sure its rainy right now.

  punta cana dominican republic, because there are 2 bars in the swimming pool in case its too hard to swim from one side to the other to grab that mai tai.

  little dume, malibu. perfect. who cares if rod stewart looks like a prune?

  zanzibar, tanzania. OH EM EFFING GEE.

  beaches in kauai. i spent a summer kayaking people in and out of the na pali coast, from haena..and i lived in hanalei for a bit too..so its hard to pick…i also lived on a private beach in kilauaea and got to drive sly stallone’s ATV to get to my private surf break. that ruled. hard choice.

  the secret beach in williamsburg brooklyn, with weird broken jetty and strange industrial pipe. have to climb fence and walk 10 min just to get to the beach. it is a strip of sand maybe 30 feet long, if that. hottest make out sesh ever. i think i almost got tetanus from some barbed wire though.
