Military spending

What part of the world military spending is on research?*

*This isn’t cheapening the question of the day because there is no definitive answer.

When they take count of these they usually don’t actually take into account the cost of military operations like the war in Iraq.

90% of this money is wasted and spent on stuff like missile defense, the new jet fighters (even though noone has anything that can mess with the current jet fighters-which don’t get used-and won’t for years) or the useless “crusader” giant artillery piece.

This sort of chart makes me furious. We could spend 1/4 of our current military budget and not be any less safe or more likely to get into a war.
