After 31 years, I don’t have an answer for this. Bummer. :(

Nothing. I consider myself to never have been in love and I’m being greedy and concentrating 100% on myself and school now.

no answer for either. That is sad. Someone take me out! I stopped going out at night and this has kind of decreased the number of guys i meet to very depressing levels. SF is a harder place to meet people than i thought.

Lauren you should ride the bus all the time and make eye contact with men and then look away. Then they’ll put missed connections ads on Craigslist.

Actually strike that, Lauren you should avoid missed connection ads and just have a bunch of handkerchiefs with and drop one when you walk by a guy. You can use this as a scheme to lure men into a crooked card game like the girl did to James Cagney in “Ladykiller”.

I call bullshit on missed connection ads. People who can’t handle approaching strangers on the bus but just passive-aggressively makes eye contact shouldn’t be coddled by craig’s list.

I understand if there is a legitimate reason for someone not approaching someone else like the bus was too crowded and I’ll even will make allowances for clinical shyness like in Amelie but you know my motto: Go hard or go home.

Oh and to answer the question:

    1. Taken a bullet, then died in my arms
    2. Given flowers

I actually got a missed connection once…kind of. Some dude said he worked across the street from me, and accurately said where i worked and all of that. But all i got was an email with a picture of his wang. Okay that’s the most romantic thing someone has ever done for me.

i’m still waiting for this one guy to write me a missed connection…i was standing like an idiot in a mini mart buying a can of beans and a roll of toilet paper and I managed to turn my embarassment into humorous flirting session. I guess that makes me the loser for not stepping it up a notch, but i wanted to run away.

I did this thing were i had candles, dinner and flowers waiting for one of my GF’s when she got home from work on a random weekend. It was much appreciated.

Most romantic thing for me….. uhhhh…. had some birthdays where i was randomly swept off to the coast for a day. that was rad i guess.

@Phil I totally thought about doing the whole handkerchief thing last week while watching a movie, but I decided that with my luck I would get a fine for littering. :(

other than the simple dinner and flowers type thing. i love the small romantic gestures from my husband. being tucked into bed, holding hands, being served breakfast in bed, taking care of me while i am sick, etc.

i like being swept off my feet and chivalry. i have dated quite a bit and a chivalrous guy is hard to find. maybe i was looking in the wrong places.

the most romantic thing that anyone has ever done for me is move to san francisco. my ex-boyfriend from college moved to denver. when he moved to denver he realized that he wanted to be with me. 3 months after he moving to denver he moved to san francisco so that we could be together. SF is one of the best cities to fall in love as it’s one of the most romantic cities.

most romantic thing that i have done for someone else. i think that the most simple gestures are the most romantic. something like telling someone that you love them everyday.
