  The last time I couldn’t sleep at night was pre-finals because I stay up worrying, and sleep only perchance to dream of the information on the index cards etc.
  I am usually so excited that I can’t hide it. I was most recently so excited (and not hiding it a jot) to learn that a friend from OR is moving to California again, and excited to meet Virginie, the french girl with whom I’m currently enjoying a summer romance. Well, she may just be a bicycle to some, but she is my vintage Motobecane, and we are in love. And, clearly I cannot hide it.

  I couldn’t sleep the night before I flew to London. It was my second time flying and I was going alone, so I was scared but completely stoked.

  usually it’s something i’m dreading that keeps me up.
  once i was worked with this really difficult VIP customer that called practically everyday, 2 weeks before her arrival to the bellagio. the day before she was to be in, my co-worker told me she called in and asked for me by name to be in when she came in. it was my first difficult high profile customer, so i tried to avoid her as much as possible. i didn’t even greet her when she arrived. she ended up being too distracted with other things like the people in her party, and other people trying to help her. i guess she ended up calling all the depts she was going to be in contact with when she was staying here, and she had each dept on edge so when she arrived EVERYONE was trying to make her happy. by the end of her stay, i just forgot about her. if she came in to see me, i told her i was with another high profile customer that was willing to spend more money than her. haha.
