I get mine through school and I pay ~$45/mo and the rest of the cost is part of the tuition costs, or so it says. My GP is the university doctor, who’s this old biker turned doc with missing front teeth; he’s dope.
His “office” is the away girl’s locker room with some mats on the floor and a couple tables; also dope.
I’ve been in there twice and both times it’s been packed with girls in sweats with UTIs or looking for the morning after pill; sluts are the coolest.

blue shield. my company pays for it, but since I’m a sole proprietor, that means I pay for it. what can I say, my boss is an asshole. 145 a month. that shit aint cheap. I got health care because after being uninsured for 3 years, my parents refused to talk to me til I got health care. I haven’t gone to th doc and the money I wasted could have paid for a trip to tonga. bloody hell.

blue shield. my company pays for it though because pete is on it too i pay extra for him but it comes directly out of my paycheck before i see it which means it doesn’t count as real money.
i’m crazy paranoid and must have health insurance even though i never go to the doctor and don’t really get sick. health insurance and rent are my main motivations for working.

Nope. I am a walking organ donor. I don’t have any because I am poor and the company I work for is super small and they can’t afford to provide us with any.

I have Aetna HMO, my work pays for it and I like it. I also have a private doctor so I don’t have to go to big med facilities, I can get in and out in record time and actually enjoy talking with my doctor regularly.

Blue Shield. It sucks. My work pays for it. In reality, I pay for it. I have to pay my $60 a month out of my paycheck. Then, I have to pay the $40 office copay. Then, there is the $500 deductible. And I can’t even get a general practitioner because the only ones on the list don’t accept new patients. So I still have to go to the health clinic.

yes, but only in California, not in nevada where i’m going to college. my parents pay for it through their work. but there are some fees in my tuition that go towards a clinic on campus that i can use.
i didn’t think i’d have to use the clinic, but being so far away from home i guess i’d have to sooner or later, like 3 months ago when i broke my finger in the hinge of a swinging door.

My husband and I have worked for the State for several years, so we have pretty decent insurance. It’s a Blue Sheild HMO which kind of sucks, but it sucks like any HMO sucks. But compared to a lot of my peers, I really can’t complain….drugs are pretty cheap, my co pay is about $15 bucks, hospital visits are covered 80%. I have a girlfriend who’s a stay at home mom and her husband works a decent job but the company is so small that it doesn’t provide insurance and they have kids. I can’t imagine living like that, so much stress.

i used to have blue shield through my dad’s insurance which his work provided for him… cuz the company that owns my company is a new york company it was pretty rad… apparently health insurance in new york is better than california (or so one of my SC doctors told me when i visited him)….
Now i am uninsured because i am unemployed and i graduated college and my parents insurance does not cover me…

Not sure what my insurance is since here in EU everyone is insured and it’s just not a real topic of interest. Its like asking what kind of lock you’re using for your apt. door or what brand your shoelaces are… I have no idea…
I guess i pay for it somehow together with my employer. Not really sure about that either.

MAN! Our health care system really does suck. I thought it was just something we all liked to complain about because we’re spoiled and most people want everything handed to them.
Blows.

I’m uninsured but I hope to get insurance not long after January of next year, but a lot of that depends on how everyone votes in November.

I’ve experienced both privatized and universal healthcare, and anyone who knows me well knows that I have the ability to cause serious bodily harm to myself doing just about anything (its okay, I’ve got mad healing skillz) so I’ve run the gamut of MRIs, xrays, urgent and emergency car facilities at home and abroad… universal health care rulz, our current system droolz.
If you want more pay for it. If you don’t, then you’re not paying for it. simple enough… I’ve had the same or less wait times for appts and proverbial hoop-jumping on Universal healthcare as I have privately so I think the benefits of private are pretty overrated.
