  The first thing I learned in 2007, within the first hour of the new year, is that if you put your finger far enough up someone’s nose you can touch their brain, which causes their nose to bleed profusely.

  I learned in the first hour of 2007 that one could put their finger so far up my nose that I would bleed profusely, and 5 months later, they could still claim to have “touched my brain.”
